Fostering

Advanced Childcare's Fostering Services offer high quality family placements for children and young people up to the age of 18. We are proud of our record of stable placements and quality outcomes for children and young people. We recruit a diverse range of carers who have professional integrity, commitment and have Safer Caring as a priority.

We recognise that fostering can sometimes be challenging for carers and we will provide all the help and support required to ensure you can continue to give the children and young people the best possible care.

We offer a range of placements by the recruitment of carers from diverse backgrounds and actively work in partnership with those people who are important to the children or young people.

We have a 24 hour support line which offers advice and support. We also have regular training for carers around subjects such as safeguarding children, behaviour management and safe caring, and all our carers will be enrolled on an in-house NVQ programme and CWDC programme. Carers are also supported through specialist training provided by our partner consultant therapist, Oak Tree Therapy.

Our carers meet regularly at monthly support groups and also provide a strong network of support to each other.

We organise activities in the school holidays for carers and their birth and fostered children. We also offer two weeks a year paid respite to help to support you and your family.

We have a highly experienced and qualified staff team to ensure that our foster carers have individual packages of support in accordance with their needs as well as supporting the needs of the children placed in their care.
