The good news is that Advanced Childcare’s final tally of Ofsted Outstanding Provider Awards for the 2009-2010 Ofsted Year is 6, which is not just good news for the Company, it means that increasing numbers of the young people in our care have increasingly positive outcomes.   Something to smile about, we think.  

We didn’t  do too badly in the previous Ofsted Year, which made for a very pleasant day out for our managers, to the awards ceremony, earlier this year.  The 2008-2009 awards were presented Ofsted chief, Christine Gilbert, at Gibson Hall in London.

Following the opening of our first Blackpool Council children’s home in early June, we are pleased to announce the mid-July opening of our second home in the Blackpool area.  Almost simultaneously we have opened a further home in the Birmingham area.  Staff at Advanced Childcare are looking forward to the new opportunities that these homes present and to welcoming the children and young people who will be living there.

Here at Advanced Childcare the national celebration of fostering, “Fostering Fortnight” never goes unmarked.  This year, to coincide with the May event, Advanced Childcare invited all its foster carers to a celebration lunch in Tame- side.   It was a very welcome chance to say thank you and well done.  It was a warm and friendly event and the attendees relaxed and chatted well in to the afternoon.
