At Advanced Childcare we specialise in working with young people who have complex emotional needs that are often expressed through challenging behaviour and attachment difficulties.

We provide a range of placement choices ranging from solo placements, dual placements, 3, 4, 5 up to 6 bed children's homes for young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. We offer Local Authorities solution focused individual care packages. The initial levels of support we provide are determined by the immediate presenting needs of the young person. As the young person achieves their outcomes and develops, the care planning is amended to meet their changing needs. What this means in reality is a whilst the outcomes for the individual young person improve, the value added benefits increase for the Local Authority.

Our approach to childcare is based upon an ethos of providing unconditional positive regard for young people and promoting positive behaviour through praise, reward, stickability and mutual respect. We work on the principles of authoritative parenting providing nurturing, safe, firm and consistent boundaries. Through our 'high tolerance' approach we provide solution focused, flexible and high quality care for children and young people. We provide stable and enduring placements allowing young people to thrive and reach their true potential. We recognise the importance of independence training for young people and we have a comprehensive Independent Living Programme. Our homes also are able to take emergency admissions.
